Our History

  • The NAMES Foundation fund raising efforts in 2011 were used to provide Soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan with more opportunities to connect with their loved ones at home; NAMES did this by purchasing SPAWAR secure calling cards for deployed servicemen and women.
  • The NAMES Foundation fund raising efforts in 2012 focused on covering the travel expenses for families visiting their loved ones who were injured in combat or pre-deployment training and under Medicare support.
  • On May 28, 2013 the University of Washington Bothell Student Veterans Association dedicated an archway on campus that serves as a memory for past, present, and future Military Service Members.
  • Since 2014 a partnership has continued with the non-profit organization Paws for Purple Hearts.
  • In February of 2017 a partnership with Project Healing Waters began.  This provides another opportunity to serve disabled Veterans.
